#throwbackthursday

I always see this Twitter or Instagram tag called "#throwbackthursday".
(I thought it would be fun to share. )
Before I got married, I scanned hundreds of pictures of Daniel and I growing up.
From ages 1 to 7, we were both covered in mud, food, and boo-boos. :)
This must be why marriage is so great! ;)

So, let's chit-chat about one of the best memories I have ever had.
Caswell Camping trips with "the Core-Four."

These years were the best years.
We swam in a river, rode our bikes all over the "large campground."
We would fly into the river using a homemade rope swing.
We would build sand castles.
We would eat marshmallows.
We would "taco workout" with Momma Bear.
Dig holes. Play with our Barbies. Throw the ball.
ALWAYS made friends, always.
I always remember the "BIG" grocery shopping trip "in town."

This campground was less than an hour away from home,
but as a kid- it felt like a 7 hour car ride.
My daddy always picked the best campground
(which always took an hour itself.)

One thing I hated about camping was sleeping in a tent.
Rachel and I always shared a tent, except she could sleep through a storm.
I heard EVERY noise, every sneeze, everyone snore.
And I also heard noises that didn't exist.
I was scared of everything at night.
Air horns and flashlights were my best friend.
I remember one of our last trips up there,
I finally figured out there were no lions or bears.
But across the river there were cows.
COWS

Oh, just a #throwbackthursday.

P.S. I don't twitter- so it's not tagged. ;)
