"I know that it is wet and the sun is not sunny..."

"...but we can have lots of good fun that is funny!" (Dr. Seuss)
AND BECAUSE THE SUN IS NOT SUNNY,
I need to find some happier music for my life. I am getting drenched in slow/sad music and rain. Any recommendations to cheer me up?? Will you write in the comment box your favorite song to cheer you up??

This has been a very special week for the "Hoeppner" side of family. We have another HS graduate- Christopher Michael Hoeppner

He had a lot of pressure with 5 grandparents, his uncle, and brother coming out to visit from California and Kauai! But without a doubt, he not only finished on time but with the largest family cheering him on from the stands making the most noise. With over 30 air horns, noise makers, silly string, a poster and candy leis... I think we did a good job congratulating him on all his hard work!

Here are facts about Washington graduations:
(at least for this class of 2012)
1. It freaking rains. It wasn't just some light mist to cool us off on such a "warm" day. Oh no, I mean a heavy down pour. Bring an umbrella... or a poncho because the "show must go on."
2. All of the girls graduating wore tennis shoes: Toms, Converse, or some kind of Vans style shoe. I think I saw one girl in a wedge- which at my graduation, I am pretty sure it was very opposite.
3. If you are going to attempt the "Carlton" after receiving your diploma... here are some tips- check for dry weather and buy shoes with a better tred. Ya, that's right. A kid attempted the "Carlton(click link to watch) and biffed. It was amazing!

It's so weird to think that I graduated four years ago. And that my classmates of 2008 are graduating from college. It always surprise me how fast time flies when it shouldn't.

I will never forget that freeing night in June of 2008- where I began my journey really seeking who I was and who I wanted to be. Of course, I am still on the journey today but much more confident

One small thing I wanted to add: I truly am blessed with an amazing husbandHe silents my negativity with his dreams/plans/ideas for our lives. He includes me. He cares about me and my sensitive heart. He provides for our family. He encourages me on my "ugly days" and he treasures those small moments in between chaos. He makes time for us. He takes me on random dates and orders the right beer for me every time (I know- so romantic). He takes us seriously but lightens the mood with his playful spirit. He understands me more than I can understand myself (at times)- and most times helps me translate my confusing thoughts into something simple yet challenging. He is motivation, inspiration and an amazing piece of life. Best yet, he is my best friend and I love him.
